Tentative schedule
While we wait for the Dominican tutors to arrive the class will be participating in "philosophical chairs".
So far we have covered: Driven to Distraction: Our Wired Generation, The Case Against High School Sports, and Athletes are Cheerleaders Too. We will continue with philosophical chairs on Mondays.
Wednesday is block day and we will work on Vocabulary from Latin Roots (Unit 2 is due Friday, September 25). We will also have grade checks every other week. Grades C- and lower and/or missing assignments will receive a call home. A plan must be put in place to bring the grade up and complete the missing assignments.
If we do not have Dominican tutors by the end of the month, we will start tutorials on Wednesday and again on Thursday.
Friday will be binder checks. Students will be graded on organization, required supplies, handouts and Cornell notes. We will also plan special, fun activities.
